My purpose was, a few years ago, to scan every plant and animal I found in my garden.
I wanted to create some digital herbarium.
I work on it since 6 years now and, although the garden isn't very big, I haven't finished yet and surely never will…
I now have hundreds of scannographs and have fun to mix, copy and paste to create strange landscapes…

I'm also the creator of this here website. I did that because I wanted to share this technic and meet other scannographers…

Chris's bio

Diplomed from the "Arts Decoratifs from Strasbourg, France". Christian Staebler is a graphic designer and illustrator, working as free-lance since 1991. He is doing layouts for books, magazines, industrial booklets, packagings. He is also illustrator for publishers like Hachette or Nathan.
In his personal works what comes always first is Nature. He shows that each little piece of Nature can bring amazing beauties. This purpose is coming out in his illustrations, photos and scan-art.
