My fascination for the scanner was born when I chose to “use a flat-bed scanner as a camera” in a college project. From that moment on I was ‘hooked’. The results are so immediate, but there is also an excitement of never quite knowing what you are going to get.

I have experimented exhaustively, compiling collages and combining external light- sources, but in my latest series “Stratification’ I have endeavoured to capture the ‘poetry’ of movement. The images are abstract in nature and resemble imaginary strata.

I am hoping to do an MA in fine art photography soon.
