I have been photographing for many years. I live on fifty beautiful acres of garden and field and forest and most of my current work involves photographing these gardens and the flowers I grow in them.
About five years ago I began scanning flowers directly into the computer. The images are exciting for their crystal clarity. In the lighter, more recent scans I am particularly interested in showing the fragile, translucent qualities in flowers and foliage, striving for an almost x-ray quality.
