I use an Epson scanner that I found knocking around one of my cupboards at my mothers house! I mostly scan myself but I have used artificial flowers, ribbon, chains, jewellery and cling film for various effects.

I have always been interested in photography and capturing images. I love scans because of the dreamlike quality you can achieve with the shallow depth of field and the dramatic feeling you can produce pressed against it. It evokes emotion which is what I believe art should do. I think that the human body fits beautifully with this kind of photography, especially the hands as they tell a lot about a person.
Its ethereal and sensual and the softness that I use the scans to create can leave a lot to the imagination which leaves you feeling like you wish you could see more, that's why I love it.
